To be strong...

{Why not me?}

I never thought I could be strong. I used to see strong people {physically} and admire their commitment, their abilities, their power, their confidence, their determination. I always thought that I could never do what they do, that I couldn’t look like them, that it wasn’t for me, it was something so unreachable and unrealistic.

What does it mean to be strong? I had to answer that first. I had to be strong for me and for my family. I needed the kind of strength that comes from the mind and from the heart, and I wanted it so bad.

So I made the decision that it was enough, that I had to stop looking and admiring others and I had to start working on me.

Fast forward five years later, I’m getting stronger every day in all aspects of my life, physically, mentally and emotionally. I’m healthier because of that decision as well and I’m in the best shape of my life at almost 43!! There is time for growth everyday and I’m thankful for that. I’m going to keep going, it’s the lifestyle I was looking for.

Don’t let anyone {specially yourself} tell you that you can’t do something. Reflect on what you want, and if you are passionate about it with the right tools, guidance and you commit, I have no doubt you can too!
